Drug & Alcohol Testing

Substance abuse is a concern for many companies. For obvious reasons, employers often decide that drug and alcohol testing is necessary to ensure a workforce that is free of drugs and alcohol. Such testing can help increase productivity and decrease absenteeism, as well as decrease accident and injury rates.

Wilson serves as a collection site for numerous companies and testing laboratories throughout the United States. Our location, directly off Interstate 75, allows for easy access to drug testing services by many national trucking firms.

At Wilson's OHS Clinic, no appointments are necessary for drug and alcohol testing. Certified trained technicians perform the tests, which are then sent to a Substance Abuse and Mental Services Health Administration (SAMSHA) Certified Lab who is National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) approved. Test results are typically available within 24 to 72 hours and the circumstances for testing include pre-placement, random, post accident and reasonable suspicion. A certified MRO (Medical Review Officer) is available on site to review any non-negative or potentially positive results.

Alcohol testing has immediate results and are provided through an industry accepted Evidential Breath Testing Device. All positive results are immediate and confirmed to verify results and kept strictly confidential. Circumstances for testing include post accident, reasonable suspicion, return to duty, follow-up testing and random testing.

Drug & Alcohol Testing Program Components:

  • DOT & Non-DOT Breath Alcohol Testing
  • DOT & Non-DOT Drug Testing
  • DOT Supervisor Training Seminars
  • DFWP Training (Supervisors & Employees)
  • DFWP Program Setup & Policy and Procedure writing

Random Drug & Alcohol Testing Service

We provide a unique service to our clients by taking responsibility for randomly selecting names for drug and alcohol screenings.

Wilson can set-up a consortium from start to finish, have the names randomly selected with our computer software and send them directly to your company.

We provide services that are easily accessible to local industry for Department of Transportation (DOT) substance abuse compliance. Wilson monitors the selection of employees, follows-up with your staff and keeps records to verify compliance with DOT regulations and requirements. In addition, the consortium provides the DOT mandated training and education to area companies.

Benefits of Wilson's Occupational Health Services include:

  • Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) by certified technicians
  • Drug screening managed and carried-out by trained staff
  • Computerized random testing selections sent monthly or quarterly
  • 24-hour access to post-accident drug and alcohol testing
